A class 24 (as it would become) stands alongside 8F 48206 in Nuneaton yard in (probably) 1964. Note the Ivatt 4 in the background. Viewed from Platform 5 this area has now been completely remodelled with the addition of an industrial estate and the new leicester line platforms.

The bobby at Hinckley advises the Driver of 7Z85 (an MGR to Northfleet cement works) that he is accepted under caution into the section onward to Croft. presumably this was due to a shunt move at croft blocking the line temporarily meaning that line clear was not able to be given. 1985
